I tried redownloading the game and it's the same issue.

The crash doesn't happen in RPG_RT executable though

The savegame also softlocks after a while in RPG_RT so the cause must be somewhere before the save.

Though I cannot test it from the beginning. When I'm in front of the bed and respond to "Yes" to the sleep promopt nothing happens o_O

Weird, Is it something to do with the softlock or is it the game being broken?

Could you both define what you mean by "crash"?

On my side, when checking the game and save file, I noticed that the game would prevent the player from moving and from opening the menu after moving a bit in the area.

Not sure if it's what you were referring to, but I found the root cause: the game has a partner system, where a specific event is set to follow you. This event is set to follow you by being an Autorun, which constantly runs the script "Set Move Route: ID of the event, Approach Player, Repeat & Skip". This doesn't work quite as the author intended: if the event wants to move inside a wall to approach you, which it cannot do, as it is an Autorun, it will end up stuck in a "attempting to do this command" loop while preventing other events from occurring. Not an EasyRPG bug, this is the RPG_RT behaviour and works as intended as such, it's just an issue with how the game was designed.
The game in itself should be edited by its author to get rid of the issue, as in itself it is not a bug with EasyRPG.

If you want to play the game in the meantime, the best method to avoid issues will be that whenever you have a partner character following you, you make sure they will not try to go in a wall when attempting to follow you (don't go too close to walls/tiles blocking you, and don't go too quickly).

Questions remain:

• Were both of you referring to that when mentioning a crash or was it something else? (what I found isn't a crash but a softlock as the engine still runs, and it was not an EasyRPG bug)
• Is the sleep issue Ghabry mentioned able to be reproduced? Didn't encountered any issue when attempting it on my side, so I can't really say for now
