Your purpose in using this API
I am building a research and educational Islamic knowledge platform that indexes scholarly materials (fatwas, lectures, articles, and books) from Salafi scholars such as Sheikh Ibn Baz and Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen.
The platform uses GraphRAG and semantic search to connect scholarly texts with their underlying Quran and Hadith evidence, allowing users to explore topics, sources, and evidences in a structured way.
The Hadith API will be used to retrieve canonical hadith texts and metadata, enabling them to be linked to scholarly explanations and referenced within the system.
API rate limits
- Maximum requests per second: 10
- Maximum requests per day: 10,000
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
Programmatic API access is preferred, since the system will query hadith data dynamically when linking evidence and retrieving related scholarly material.
An offline dump would also be useful as a secondary option for indexing and caching purposes.
What are the languages in which you would like hadith data?

Python, primarily using FastAPI for backend services.
