"Attach new file" from Zotfile

Hello,
Thank you very much for the great tool!
Would it be possible to mimic the very useful "Attach new file" feature from Zotfile, which is discontinued?

This requires:
0. to save a preference with the path to the downloads directory.

1. attach the last file added to this directory to the selected zotero item
2. rename it using Zotero's rule
3. delete the file in the origin directory

I would be happy to give a try at coding this if I'm given relevant pointers and/or guidance. Thank you very much.

Yes, I had seen that one, which does 1 in the little workflow I describe.
Still would need to figure out how to do 0 and 3 (I suspect 2 should be straightforward since there are many actions with rename features).
